Look! There’s a teddy bear in Kai’s paw.
In fact, did you know that all cats have teddy bear paws? It’s true…check it out next time a cat gives you permission to look at his/her paw.
You’ve got to admit, having a teddy bear in your paw is a pretty awesome trick…the creme-de-la-creme of animal magic!
Another oracle reading today for you, folks! This time from the Osho Zen Tarot 🙂
“These three women dancing in the wind and the rain remind us that celebration never need depend on outside circumstances. We need not wait for a special holiday or a formal occasion, nor a sunny and cloudless day. True celebration arises from a joy that is first experienced deep within, and spills into an overflow of song and dance and laughter, and yes, even tears of gratitude. Don’t bother about scheduling a party on your calendar. Let your hair down, take your shoes off, and start splashing in the puddles right now. The party is happening all around you every moment!”
3-hour business lunch today with my editor-in-chief, Cat Milton. Both now uber-excited as launch day draws closer, after all manner of trials, tribulations and unexpected set-backs.
In spite of it all, Cat’s expression here sums up our attitude from Day 1 of this project (9 months ago). Failure is not an option.
Especially when we have wine.
Bez and Chomsky.
I’ve lived with cats for all my adult life and I have never known two boy cats from different litters be so close. We rescued Chomsky when he was found wandering the streets on his own at only 3 weeks old. Bez had only lived with us for a couple of weeks and was just 10 weeks old himself. It could have been a disaster, but thankfully, it was love at first sight and they were inseparable as kittens.
Now they’re almost 4 years old, so they’re off doing their own thing…but it’s still clear to see that when it comes to talking best friends…Bez and Chomsky are it!!
There comes a time in any 31 day photo challenge when you look at the theme for the day and think “what the hell?” And today is that day. I got nothing, nada, niente, zilcho, diddly-squat.
So, in the absence of any poems, or anything resembling poetry in my life today, I give you…an onion.
affirmations, Buddha, January photo challenge, Kreatív Fordítás Photo Challenge, law of attraction, manifesting, meditation, mind movies, motivation, personal development, vision boards, visualisations
There are lots of things that motivate me. I’m a bit of a personal development/affirmations/visualisations/vision boards/mind movies/Law of Attraction/manifesting nutcase on the quiet. And that’s all well and good.
But, if truth be told, the best motivator for me is meditation. Stillness. Silence. Just a few minutes every day.
Luckily, I have my beautiful Buddha in the corner of my lounge as a constant, gentle reminder. 🙂
It’s a sunny day today in Ibiza. Sunny, but cold. So cold, in fact, I was forced to seek out the warmth of a cheeky “carajillo” before doing my shopping. For those who don’t know, a carajillo is a strong, espresso coffee, plus a shot of the liquor of your choice. In my case, Cognac. If Ready Brek was central heating for kids (now I’m showing my age!), then a carajillo is central heating for grown ups. And it makes trudging round the supermercado afterwards oh…so much more fun!
